PTO
Miller PTO meets monthly-right before the monthly family dinners at 5:00.  All parents are welcome to attend.  PTO meetings help organize school events, find volunteers, and provide feedback to school leaders to make sure our students have the best experience possible.  We hope to see you at a PTO meeting this year!
November Family Dinner Night

HARLEM WIZARDS ARE COMING TO TOWN!
The Harlem Wizards are excited to be coming to Lafayette to play a game of trick basketball with teachers and administrators in our school district and our very own principals, Mrs. Combs and Mrs. Henry!  This evening of fun and laughter is being organized by Broncho Boys’ Basketball and is a FUN(d)raising event.  The Harlem Wizards vs. Broncho Stampede basketball game will take place at Jeff High School November 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:00).  Tickets are being sold in the Miller Office for $8 for students and $10 for adults.  Tickets at the door are $2 more, so buy your tickets in advance in our office
Want to make a difference for students?  LSC is looking for GREAT people to become substitute teachers. This is a wonderful way to supplement your income, bring a fresh perspective to our classrooms, and improve your skills with children!  Substitute teachers need to have 60 college credits and a sub permit or a teaching license.   The pay is $70.00 per day.  To apply, please go to   https://ats4.searchsoft.net/ats/app_login?COMPANY_ID=00007994.  Substitute teachers must also complete a SafeHire background check.

Miller Library Needs YOU!
Do you have a free morning or afternoon once or twice a week?  Miller students need you!  We are looking for volunteers to help in the library.  We need helpers to check books in and out  for students, help students find books they are interested in and shelve returned books.  This help allows our librarian, Mrs. Powell, to continue teaching classes while classroom teachers have the freedom to send children to get library materials throughout the school day.  If you are interested please contact Miller at 476-2930 or email Mrs. Powell at apowell@lsc.k12.in.us.
